How to Prepare Your Home for Pest Control Treatment
Getting ready for a professional pest control visit? A few simple steps will help the treatment work better and keep your family and pets safe.
Clear access to baseboards, under sinks, and around appliances so the technician can reach problem areas. Store food in sealed containers or in the fridge, and cover or put away pet bowls. If you have aquariums, cover them and turn off air pumps during the treatment window. Plan to stay out of treated areas for the time recommended by your provider—usually a few hours.
Follow any specific instructions from your pest control company, such as vacuuming before the visit or washing bedding. When you’re prepared, the service is more effective and the results last longer.
